Purchasing a Refurbished Copier
1. If we see a slightly used copier in the CR inventory but we want it configured with options (not shown with the off-lease copier ) such as a staple-sorter, network card, fax card, scan kit, or other miscellaneous options can we add these accessories to our refurbished copier?
ANSWER: Yes. We carry over 600 slightly used copiers in stock but only show approximately 100 refurbished copiers at any given time on our website. We stock over $1,000,000 in copiers and parts at all times so we can accommodate requests for most any accessory or digital copier.
2. What are the advantages of leasing a refurbished copier from CR?
ANSWER: Many of our customers lease their used copier from us because it affords them a chance to buy a more efficient copy machine with advanced features. The monthly payments are very affordable compared to a new copier, and they own their remanufactured copier after 24-36 months. Since our refurbished copiers last our customers on average 48-60 months, they enjoy the last 2-3 years of ownership without any payments.
3. How can we be sure that buying a refurbished copier from CR over the internet is a better value than buying a new or used copier from our local dealer?
ANSWER: The value in purchasing a copier from us is very much the same as any other purchase you make on a daily basis.

1. Do you think we should put our refurbished copy machine under a maintenance contract or should we pay for parts and labor when we need our copy machine serviced?
ANSWER: The answer is based upon personal preference. Most of our slightly used copiers get put under a service contract when they are installed. This is mainly because unlike computers and most other business equipment, copiers are built with consumable parts that require standard preventative maintenance schedules to replace items such as cleaning blades, drums, toner, developer, rollers, fusers, bearings, etc. For this reason, studies have show that approximately 85% of all copiers are placed under a cost-per-copy contract. Under this type of copier service program you normally pay between a .015 and .025 per copy and everything on your remanufactured copier is covered (except for paper and staples.)
2. Since you refurbish many different brands of digital copiers, what refurbished copier brand do you feel is the most dependable?
ANSWER: CR has taken the time to evaluate over the past two years over 14 different brands of copiers and more than 120 different models of copy machines. Furthermore, we are in contact with copier dealerships daily to provide a wholesale supply of these same used copiers. So we understand first hand which models of each brand are the most dependable and we focus our refurbishing efforts on those copy machines. We believe the most important factor in choosing a copier brand is to look to see if that brand is serviced in your area. If it is, then any model within that brand that fits your copying and printing requirements is a good selection.
3. Will we pay the same service rates on a refurbished copier versus a new copier? Will we pay a higher service rate if we don’t buy our slightly used copier from a local dealership?
ANSWER: As long as your remanufactured copier has been completely refurbished (including the replacement of consumable parts - which CR does) your local dealerships will put your refurbished copier under a cost-per-copy service contract at a similar rate as a new copier. Local markets will be happy to give you the same competitive service rates on your copy machine regardless of where you purchased it from- provided the copier has been properly refurbished. The service portion of a copier transaction is very profitable and certainly will be aggressively sought after by the local copier dealers in your area.
Shipping and Receiving our Refurbished Copiers
1. How many days will it take for our slightly used copier to arrive?
ANSWER: Since our copiers are ready to go, CR will normally ship your refurbished copier within 24 hours after receiving your payment. Depending on if you can receive your used copy machine on a pallet or require a loading dock, your remanufactured copier can arrive in just a few days.
2. What is our responsibility when the transport company delivers our refurbished copier?
ANSWER: You are responsible to check for damages
that might have occurred to your copier and/or container during
the shipment process. This is easily done by looking at the container
or copier for any cosmetic damages and noting them on the Bill
of Lading. You should note damages to the exterior of the refurbished
copier and/or container in the event that product damage has
occurred (but can not be seen). Even though CR puts full insurance
(based upon the invoice amount) on your copy machine, you must
note any damages on the Bill of Lading for any recourse to occur. |
